“We reached out to Haley shortly after birth because my wife was having a hard time feeling like herself postpartum, and I knew we needed extra support.
Haley provided such a calming presence and offered postpartum care that truly helped my wife feel nurtured, supported, and more grounded.
It was such a relief to have someone come in and support not only my wife, but our whole family.
What stood out most was how personalized everything felt. Haley truly listened and created care around what my wife needed in that moment.
I'm so thankful we found Haley. If you're looking for compassionate, personalized postpartum support, l highly recommend working with her.”

Ayurvedic Postpartum Care

Nurturing Mothers Through the Fourth Trimester

Bringing a new baby home is one of life’s greatest joys, but it can also be one of its biggest transitions. The weeks after birth, often called the fourth trimester are a time of profound physical healing, emotional adjustment, and learning for both mother and baby. While so much attention is placed on caring for a newborn, mothers deserve to be nurtured too.

As a Certified birth doula, Certified Ayurvedic postpartum doula, and Reiki Master, my passion is helping mothers feel supported, nourished, and deeply cared for during this sacred season of life. Whether you are welcoming your first baby, adding another child to your family, recovering from a Cesarean birth, navigating breastfeeding or bottle feeding, or simply adjusting to life with a newborn, I provide personalized postpartum support designed around your unique needs.

What Is Ayurvedic Postpartum Care?

My postpartum care is inspired by Ayurveda, one of the world’s oldest holistic systems of wellness, originating in India more than 5,000 years ago. Ayurveda teaches that pregnancy, birth, and the weeks following birth are a sacred window of healing. During the first 40–42 days postpartum, mothers are encouraged to slow down, rest deeply, eat nourishing warm foods, receive gentle touch, and be surrounded by loving support while their bodies recover.

This ancient philosophy recognizes that when a mother is cared for, her baby and entire family benefit. Warmth, nourishment, connection, and rest are considered essential for supporting physical recovery, emotional well-being, digestion, nervous system regulation, and the transition into motherhood.

My care is inspired by Ayurvedic traditions while also incorporating modern, evidence-based postpartum education. It complements but does not replace the care provided by your physician, midwife, or other healthcare providers.

Compassionate Support for Postpartum Mental Health

The postpartum period is a time of profound physical, emotional, and hormonal change. While welcoming a new baby can bring incredible joy, it can also feel overwhelming. Sleep deprivation, hormonal shifts, birth recovery, changes in identity, and the demands of caring for a newborn can affect every aspect of a mother’s well-being.

Many mothers experience the baby blues during the first two weeks after birth, but some develop more persistent Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs), including postpartum depression (PPD), postpartum anxiety (PPA), postpartum obsessive-compulsive disorder (PPOCD), postpartum post-traumatic stress disorder (PP-PTSD), and postpartum rage. These conditions are common, treatable, and never a sign of weakness or failure.

I believe every mother deserves to feel seen, heard, and deeply supported. As your postpartum doula, I provide a calm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental presence where you can process your birth story, ask questions, build confidence in caring for your newborn, and receive practical support that reduces stress and promotes healing.

Many of the traditional Ayurvedic-inspired healing practices I incorporate are designed to help mothers feel more grounded, nourished, and supported throughout the postpartum journey. Gentle warming therapies, restorative touch, nourishing foods, herbal preparations, and intentional rest help support nervous system regulation, relaxation, and overall well-being. These time-honored modalities complement the care you receive from your physician, midwife, therapist, or other healthcare providers, creating a holistic approach that supports both physical recovery and emotional wellness.

While I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions, I understand the importance of maternal mental health and recognize when additional support may be beneficial. If concerns arise, I encourage families to connect with their healthcare provider or a licensed perinatal mental health professional. My goal is for every mother to feel safe, empowered, nurtured, and never alone during one of life’s most transformative seasons.
